Sandstone Point Veterinary Surgeons originated as a mobile service founded by Dr. Jacquie Perkins in 2009. Our purpose-built veterinary clinic was opened in late 2019 and has since undergone a second expansion to cater for all your pets needs.

We offer a personal and independent clinic experience to our clients, whereby you will always be greeted with a smile and you will enjoy the familiarity that comes with small clinic service.

Dr Jacquie Perkins

Veterinary Surgeon

Dr Jacquie is a Veterinarian with 30 years experience, who has practiced and lived locally for 14 years. She grew up in North Brisbane and has an interest in animal behaviour. She is well known for the mobile vet van service and regular informative pet articles in local magazines. You may have seen Dr Jacquie walking her Kelpie X Rusty at Woorim's off-lead dog beach.

Dr Brooke O'Connor

Veterinary Surgeon

Dr Brooke grew up in a country town near Brisbane, surrounded by animals both large and small. She had always dreamed of being a vet and this dream became reality when she graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. Brooke joined Sandstone Point Veterinary Surgeons in early 2020 and has since become co-owner of the practice. In her spare time, Brooke enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her friends, family, Lucy her cat and Claire her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Tammy Matthews

Senior Veterinary Nurse

Tammy is one of our wonderful senior vet nurses with 20 years of experience. Prior to joining our team in 2021, Tammy worked as a Veterinary Nurse with RSPCA Sydney for 18.5 years. Tammy's life outside of work is very busy with her three kids and husband and their extra-curricular activities.

Suzie Landy

Senior Veterinary Nurse

Suzie has been a Veterinary Nurse for nearly 20 years, working in Victoria, NSW, Queensland and overseas. She has a special interest in brachycephalic breeds, especially boxers. When not at work she spends her time with her cat Minnie, riding her horse, travelling or in her garden.

Charlotte Laycock

Provisional Veterinary Nurse

Charlotte is an avid animal lover and is soon to commence her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In her free time, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as her Poodle Res and her cat Arnie.
